Description[]
The Copper Mine is used to mine Copper Ore for production of Tools and weaponary and must be placed on top of a Copper Deposit found by your Geologist .
At this time it is only possible to find a maximum of 6 Copper Deposits, and therefore a maximum of only 6 mines at any one time. As a basic resource it is wise to have as many copper mines in continuous production as possible.
As with other production buildings, its output can be temporarily doubled with a Buff and can be upgraded for the duration of the mine's current life with Tools. The upgrade is lost once the mine is depleted.
Deposits can also be replenished with boosts found from a Treasure Hunt, during Adventures or purchased with Gems from the Store; they will add to the total resource of the deposit, ultimately prolonging the life of the mine and its upgrade.

Efficiency in Sector Two[]
Due to the lack of open space among the mines in sector two, it is a good idea to place a storehouse dedicated to the mines somewhere in the vicinity.
Let us take a look at efficient placement of a storehouse in sector two. Ideally, you will want to have a storehouse somewhere among your mines. The best place for the storehouse will be in position (1), as it provides you with an average walk time of 18.6 seconds to each copper mine, and allows you to get the lowest possible production time, 1:42, on the two mines directly adjacent (1, 2). This also gives you better production times on the gold deposits above. If you were to put a storehouse in position (2), you would have an average walk time of 20 seconds.
Walking Time per Mine
Storehouse | Mine 1 | Mine 2 | Mine 3 | Average | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 12 | 12 | 32 | 18.66 | |
2 | 24 | 16 | 20 | 20 |
